Cost Management is very different from Cost Reduction, the latter usually being solely procurement based and often introduces other unexpected consequential issues and costs.
Cost Management looks at the entire service, not just all of the whole-life costs but also the Quality of Service.
DMDMSL deliver a holistic approach to Cost Management that involve the following stages:
- Initial review of services providing feedback on areas being effectively managed and identifying areas where opportunity for improvement exists.
- Total management of projects to deliver solutions. These are undertaken to have little or no impact upon staff or the operation of the business during the project.
- Negotiation of procurement contracts on behalf of the client, although the client retains full decision making.
- Implementation of all elements of the solutions.
- Ongoing support and consultancy
We work with specialised partners who are experts in their field, but DMDMSL still retain responsibility for Quality of Service which ensures only appropriate and professional solutions are considered.
In almost all cases, the projects are completely self-financing where any fees are paid retrospectively, thus ensuring that the experience for the client is always cash flow positive. The only exceptions are where the client has asked for one of our other options that is a better fit to their needs.
